چکیده
Abstract Background Iroko gall bug, Phytolyma fusca Walker, is a major insect pest of Milicia excelsa (Iroko) seedling hampering its propagation in West Africa. an indigenous forest timber tree the tropical rain Africa with very high value international trade due to wood quality. Sustainable management P . infestations on seedlings have not been achieved their cryptic nature and multivoltine generations. This study evaluated residual contact effects crude ethanol aqueous extracts four plants ( Azadirachta indica , Jatropha curcas Piper guineense Aframomum melegueta ) adult laboratory field. Results All had insects at 75% 100% concentrations applications. A gave 80–100% mortality both laboratory; efficacies were comparable cypermethrin. The more effective than other protecting against They significantly p < 0.01) reduced infestation compared control. Ethanol tested plant materials Conclusion results proved that potent promising they can be used early

Psidium myrtoides (Myrtaceae) shelters the gall inducer Nothotrioza myrtoidis gen. et sp. n. (Hemiptera: Psylloidea) which is described and illustrated here. Nothotrioza belongs to the family Triozidae and is probably most closely related to Neolithus, a monotypic Neotropical genus associated with Sapiun (Euphorbiaceae). Three species are recognized within Nothotrioza: the type species N. myrto...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Predation in two species of leech under laboratory conditions
Two 60 day experiments on predation behavior of leeches were conducted concurrently. In the first, medicinal leeches, Hirudo orientalis (Utevsky and Trontelj, 2005) were fed to satiation on bovine blood and subsequently transferred into two large opaque plastic containers of equal size but with differing temperatures, 6-7?C and 23-24?C, containing starved Erpobdella octoculata (L.). At the high...
